The Queen Dressed In Blue
The queen went out to look for her wedding veil at midday
And I couldn't do anything but stare
I couldn't figure out if it was her gentle movements or her delicate gestures that left me overwhelmed
I knew she saw me
I knew she posed for me
The queen tried the veil on, which had been prepared with the utmost care for her great day
And she wanted me to see the glow in her face
She remained in front of me longer than she usually did for anyone
That wasn't usual
And me, in my complete inexperience, felt unworthy of being witness to all of this
That's when she whispered:
"Thank you for understanding that the beauty in nature doesn't rely on you changing it, but in letting it be"
Then, she suddenly disappeared in the midday sun
